when it comes to spying on your children this is fine if you are looking out for them, people seem to get things like internet monitoring software to keep an eye on their kids and what they do over the internet and I actually think that this is a great way to make sure that your children are not being targeted over the internet. When thinking about other such gadgets like spy phones is this perhaps being a bit too protective or are there reasons behind doing this?

Age has a lot to do with it when it comes to actually spying on the kids and to me it depends on the stage of their life they are at. Obviously you would love to be spying on your 16 year old girl but is this really the best way to show her that you trust her? Well, when she finds out you are going to be in a bit of trouble and she will not have any trust in you ever again.
Of course if your child has just got their very first mobile phone then it might become that bit more acceptable as you want to know if you can trust them more than them trusting you. Of course on top of all of this they will not have a clue what you are doing. It is a good idea to do this if you are worried that they are being cyber bullied or worse, targeted by someone that is out to hurt them. Spy phones along with things like a listening bug have been very useful indeed in helping to stop harm on kids.
It doesn't matter what your thoughts on spy phones actually are, they work wonders and do the job very well indeed, you should consider at least trying one!
