The C5 is a Nokia candybar handset and this handset is available in white, which features a metallic silver band running around the unit's sides and in a dark gray colour. Telstra's Next G version of the Nokia C5 has been given Telstra's blue tick meaning better coverage in bush and country areas.
The Nokia C5 buttons are a good size and screen size is a good number on the TFT. The keypad is a breeze to use and has larger keys than other handsets on the market. The navigation pad is also a nice size.
The main menu is very similar to most Nokia phones, so if you have not owned a Nokia recently designed the menus are very easy to use. Texting, searching through your contacts and setting and personalising profiles on the Nokia C5 is oh so easy.
Nokia C5 call quality is good, even in very noisy environments, it was difficult to hear the other person in the call. Nokia rates the battery at C5 in 12 hours talk time and cites of 26 days standby massive, but we must not forget that these figures would be obtained under ideal conditions.
Nokia C5 accepts microSD cards to expand memory to store photos and having fun or music, has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB for data transfer and port Charging Nokia 2 mm on top of handset.
The C5 also features a forward facing VGA camera for video calling. Phone consultations for up to three parties, and voice dialing, intelligent call are all features of the Nokia C5.
The handset is a simple 3.2 megapixel camera, which allows you to take photographs and video recordings, and built-in LED flash is in the range of about 1.5m.
The C5 comes with a 2GB microSD card that was pre-recorded in the installation file from the memory card to the program Ovi Suite. This saves having to download this file if you are able to use the allocation of the data to your mobile phone for updates on Facebook, tweets, emails or surf the Internet.
If you want a good basic handset with some extra smartphone features then Nokia C5 is worth of considering. The handset is neat, compact, easy to use and comes at an affordable price.
