RSS Readers for the Motorola Atrix

The Motorola Atrix is a revolutionary device that has a 4.0 inch capacitive screen and a 1Ghz dual core processor. Motorola even offers a laptop dock for this device so that it can really shine as a smart phone with many laptop capabilities. The device also boasts a huge selection of Motorola Atrix accessories, and included in the box is a long-life Motorola Atrix battery and a premium Motorola Atrix charger. This smart phone does a great job of organizing the information that can be retrieved from the internet.

In order to maximize the news-reading capabilities of the Motorola Atrix, you're going to need an RSS Android app or two. The good news is that there is a wide array of such apps available, so you shouldn't have much trouble finding one that suits you. But the downside to all of that choice is that not all RSS readers are created equal, and some are better suited than others are to get the most out of your Atrix. A good RSS application will be aggressive and use up all the power that the Atrix has to offer.

NewsRob is a very good RSS reading application and it can be very convenient because it will automatically synchronize it with Google Reader. It's available in an ad-supported version, but if you like it, it's worth upgrading because the pay-for version boasts a number of cool power user features. NewsRob works great with the Atrix because it can stream a lot of feeds at a time. This program may not work the exact same way with other devices, the Tegra 2 processor in this phone works like a charm.

Greed is like NewsRob in that it enhances the Google Reader experience. Many customers see Greed as a powerful alternative to NewsRob. It boasts a better notification system, and it has more sophisticated customization options than NewsRob does. It also has all of the core features that make NewsRob so great. The only downside to Greed is that the UI is not as easy to use. A learning curve isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you're willing to put the time, Greed will push your Atrix like no other RSS reader will.

Then there is GReader, which distinguishes itself from NewsRob and Greed with its pure, unbridled speed. When it comes to power users and RSS apps, there are two camps: speed vs. organization. Although having a balance among the two is probably the best way to go, if you plan to download as fast as possible then GReader is the number one application. Of course, GReader does have its share of organizational tools too, but they're not nearly as powerful and accessible as the tools offered by Greed and NewsRob.
